Viña Errázuriz is one of Chile’s most historic and influential wine estates, a pioneer that helped put the Aconcagua Valley — and Chilean fine wine — on the global map. Errázuriz’s vineyards are centred on the Aconcagua Valley, about 100 kilometres north of Santiago. The region’s unique geography — warm days, cool nights, and Pacific breezes channelled through the Aconcagua River valley — provides a natural balance of ripeness and freshness. The estate also farms cooler coastal sites such as Aconcagua Costa, ideal for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and higher-altitude plots in the Andes for Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère.
The winemaking philosophy blends tradition with cutting-edge techniques. Grapes are hand-harvested, vinified in small lots, and matured in a careful mix of French oak and concrete to showcase purity and site character. The portfolio is broad, from everyday varietals to icons such as Don Maximiano Founder’s Reserve, the Bordeaux-style Seña (a joint venture originally launched with Robert Mondavi), and the single-estate Viñedo Chadwick, all of which demonstrate the extraordinary potential of Chilean terroir.
