Timothee Stroebel

Timothée Stroebel is a grower-producer in Villers-Allerand (Premier Cru, Montagne de Reims) crafting Champagne and still Coteaux Champenois with a calm, terroir-first touch. Farming is organic and biodiversity-minded across tiny holdings dominated by old-vine Meunier, with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay completing the palette. Soils range from deep clay to light sand and chalk, and each parcel is vinified separately to preserve nuance. In the cellar, native yeasts, long élevage in older oak, minimal sulphur and very low or zero dosage keep the wines finely etched and gastronomic rather than showy. The house style is purity with tension: Meunier brings spice and supple red-fruit perfume; Pinot Noir adds structure and drive; Chardonnay lifts the line. Expect pinpoint mousse, saline cut and a dry, savoury finish that makes the wines effortless at table. Signature cuvées such as Héraclite (often highlighting Meunier or, by vintage, Pinot Noir) and Triptyque (a three-variety blend) sit alongside small-production bottlings, while a prized Meunier parcel is occasionally bottled as Coteaux Champenois Rouge for a still-wine snapshot of the terroir. Quantities are minute and releases can vary year to year, but the constants are precision, freshness and a clear sense of Villers-Allerand.
