Cima del Pomer

Cima del Pomer is a small, artisan family winery tucked into the hills just north of Treviso, in the heart of Veneto — an area often called the “Garden of Venice.” With roots stretching back to the 19th century, this is more than a business; it is a passion project born from tradition, persistence, and a deep attachment to the land. Operated today by Alessandra Vegro Amistani — descended from the founder Itala Pizzolotto Guarda — the estate revived a wine called “Fondante Integrale,” a finely crafted sparkling once made for her family, bringing it back to life with the same patient methods. Cima del Pomer produces sparkling wines with remarkable dedication to quality and place. They age their wines long on the lees, bottle-ferment with minimal added sugar, and often embrace the native, gently suspended lees in the glass to create vivid texture. Despite the experimental nature of their methods, everything they make — from their sparkly “Ganzo” range to Proseccos like “Caterina” and “Clara” — reflects clarity, freshness, and personality. This is a hands-on, artisanal estate that produces very little wine, but every bottle speaks of its terroir, its generations of experience, and a kind of elegant, local authenticity. Visitors consistently remark on the wines’ freshness, florality, and subtle complexity — delights still rare in the world of Prosecco-style wines. Cima del Pomer is a name to know if you are after Veneto wines with soul — sparkling wines made slowly, thoughtfully, and in tiny quantities, with a clear sense of purpose and place.
