The 2000 Calon-Ségur is a wine I’ve had the pleasure of following from the very beginning. I bought it directly from Berry Bros. & Rudd in 1999, en primeur, and have carefully kept it in my own wine cellar ever since. It’s rather special to finally open a bottle after all these years. Twenty-seven years after I bought it, this is a bottle that has more than justified its place in my cellar — a deeply impressive and beautifully mature Calon-Ségur.
