Chateau Martet Pierre de Famille, Grand vin de Bordeaux

A tasting of this wine in 2017 found on Cellar Tracker - Ive never tried it despite buying it some time ago on a trip to St Emilion. Deep in colour it boasts dark fruits, roasted meat, veggie edge and a blanket of wood still a tad imposing. The mouth is all about the 100% merlot smoked beef, ripe blackberries and wooden coat again showing its presence. Full bodied and a tad rustic (still) but full of charm and promise for the next 6 to 8 years. Finishes long with good set of tannins and well tamed acidity.
