A case of 2021 Prieuré Roch Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru Clos des Varoilles Monopole, from one of Burgundy’s most sought-after natural-style domaines. This is elegant and expressive Pinot Noir, with notes of red cherry, wild strawberry, rose, spice, and fine minerality. Already approachable but still youthful, it should drink very well from now onwards and continue to age for many years to come, roughly through the late 2030s.
