A traditional mix of chardonnay, pinots noir and meunier, fermented in small oak barrels then aged on its lees to add further complexity for around eight years. 2008 is a brilliant vintage, and the exceptional level of ripeness reached in the vineyards has resulted in glorious fullness and depth of flavour. What is remarkable about this wine, though, is its unusual – and wonderful – combination of richness and fine, crisp, refreshing acidity. A very special Champagne. Drinking now thru 2027.
