Vega Sicilia, Unico, Ribera del Duero

A wine to which there is no introduction required by wine enthusiasts/lovers/collectors. This 1965 "Unico" from the famed Bodegas Vegs Sicilia was purchased a while ago from an avid collector in Spain who lives just 20km away from the bodegas. This bottle has been stored in a cellar in Sardón de Duero, in the province of Valladolid, the birthplace of Vega Sicilia wine, until my purchase. Presentation is excellent for a wine that can profess 61 years since the grapes were picked. Many bottles this age show their age but as you can see from the photos this bottle is practically pristine! In my opinion very well kept. I have just the one bottle and the price is conservative according to other pricing platforms.
