A mature 1978 Boal from Justino's, offering the generous middle ground of Madeira: richer than Verdelho, yet sharpened by the island's naturally vivid acidity. Carefully stored in a Master of Wine's wine store and offered from a private cellar. Decades of ageing can bring dried fig, orange peel, caramel, coffee, roasted nuts, tobacco and warm spice, with the tension that gives fine Madeira remarkable longevity. The traditional stencilled bottle and Madeira seal give it strong period character. One 75cl bottle; no presentation case.
