1963 is legendary in the Douro, and this Burmester Colheita offers a fascinating cask-aged interpretation of that historic year. Carefully stored in a Master of Wine's wine store and released from a private cellar. Extended wood ageing can give mature Colheita extraordinary complexity—dried fig, walnut, orange peel, caramel, coffee and savoury spice—without losing the freshness that distinguishes the finest examples.
