Cerretalto is made from 100% Sangiovese, sourced from the estate's distinctive amphitheatre-shaped vineyard near the Asso River. Produced only in exceptional vintages and in limited quantities, it is renowned for its concentration, complexity and ability to age for decades. The 1999 vintage has developed an outstanding reputation with age, combining rich blackberry and dark berry fruit with spice, liquorice, graphite, smoky and savoury notes. It is a powerful, concentrated Brunello with impressive structure and a remarkably long finish.
