Produced from 100% Sangiovese, Cerretalto comes principally from a distinctive natural amphitheatre-shaped vineyard with mineral-rich soils. It is made only in selected vintages and is renowned for its concentration, complexity and exceptional ageing ability. The 2001 is one of the landmark vintages of Cerretalto, combining tremendous depth with beautifully developed maturity. Expect layers of dark berries and plum alongside aniseed, tobacco, spice, chocolate, graphite and savoury notes, with beautifully integrated tannins and an exceptionally persistent finish.
